Millers Falls Dyno-Mite Combo Machine

Circa 1950′s
I found this machine complete with all the attachments on a sturdy shop-made stand/case waiting on the side of the street to go out with the garbage. The attachments are all relatively small and would only be good for lighter work. Most of the attachments are unused and all are complete in their respect boxes with their respective papers.

My father bought one of those in the late fifties in Östersund, Sweden. Many things in our home were made with it. I remember it as quite loud but useful. I recognize all equipment in the pictures. Unfortunately it´s gone now. -Patrik

I have this set and it is almost complete. I bought it many years ago with my son in mind but he could care less about woodworking and antiques.

I purchased the base unit new around 1954. The base power unit came with a large metal case and was equipped mainly as a 3/8″ drill. It included a chuck, rotary sanding pad, and a wooden screw-on handle. Sadly I mistreated it (I was about 14 years old.) and ultimately trashed it when I got a shock from its then deteriorated power cord. During the time I owned it, I added attachments for the jig saw and the bench stand. It’s nice to see this set again. Thanks

I believe that I have the casted legs and table top with some of the hardware plus 4 table extensions (3″ x 13″) and a fence that also might be original.

Is any one interested? I can provide pictures.

    Robert,
The value on these things is pretty open. They come up on ebay fairly often don’t go for astounding levels. It’s probably worth more in sentimental value.

At my mothers place there was allways this big wooden box. Later in live I discovered that it was Millers Falls Power Tools. It has all the attachements nicely stowed away. Plus a benchsaw table. Drill is in good working order allthough it smells a bit.

  12. Ron Harmon says:

I have most of the tools for the dyno-mite series along with some ads from the era they were sold. I was born in Greenfield, Mass and visited Millers Falls tools when they had a store at the factory when I was a child. I acquired them on ebay at a fantastic bargain price and they are in excellent condition. I also have many of the MF hand drills & planes. I plan on keeping my collection for sentimental reasons. Also enjoy working in wood but more with my Shopsmith setup I have. I want to keep the made in America tools while they are still around.

I have a d.c. power source. As near as I can tell from the tag, it is used to power one of the old, 1920′s ish Miller’s Falls power hammers. Anyone interested in this old antique? Thanks, Robert.

  16. Lee Louden says:

I had the complete Millers Falls Dyno-mite set since the 50′s. I was forced to sell all of my tools and equipment just before I retired. I moved from California to Florida when I retired and started buying the set used on eBay. I now have it all (plus many duplicates) but I am still missing the Table Saw attachment with extensions.

I am interested in buying the table saw attachment or trading it for other attachments.
